He is survived by: his wife Michele T. Bench-Kompa; his daughter Brittney A. Ruggieri (Bryce) of Apex; his brother Richard Kompa (Marianne Kompa) of Woodbridge, Massachusetts; and his grandchildren, Brayden, Landen and Tiegen Ruggieri.
