He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. McCarthy and Dorothy McCarthy (Lorenz); and his siblings, Dorothy, William, Elaine and John (Maryann).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. McCarthy (Brogan); his children, Tom, Jr. (Shelly) of Audubon, PA, Jim of Hellertown, Justin (Heather) of Mechanicsburg, Kerrie Armbruster (Mark Happel) of Allentown and Suzie (Mike Vilcheck) of Slatington; his sisters, Catherine Kammerer of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Patti Taibe (Arthur) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; his brother-in-law Al Pruss of Gainesville, FL; his grandchildren, Kyle, Jessica, Ryan, Patrick, Kiersten, Christian, Jacqueline, Autumn, Luke and Zoe; and his great grandchildren, Kaedyn, Logan and Avery.
