She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pheasant and Anna Pheasant (Drake); her husband Melvin Cooper, Sr.; her children, Barbara McGarvey and Melvin Cooper, Jr.; and her siblings, Manice Wakefield, Wendell "Buzz" Pheasant and Joann Gilland.
She is survived by: her sons, James Cooper (Shirley) and Dan Cooper (Beverly); and her children-in-law, John McGarvey and Mary Ann Cooper. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
