Though Gladys may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gladys touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harold Bower and Elizabeth Bower (Jones); her husband Elisio Giangirolami; her sons, Artie Smethers (June) of Lancaster and Rick Smethers (Brenda) of Briar Creek; and her stepdaughters, Carol (Robert Siegfried) of Berwick, Susan (Chris Farr) of Orangeville and Debra Giangirolami of Berwick. She was also cherished by fifteen grandchildren, Seven Great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mayo Funeral Home (110 Chestnut St, Berwick, PA 18603). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
