She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Opeil and Anna Opeil; and her siblings, Francis, Andrew, James, Philip, John, Cyril, Joanne and Barbara Ann.

She is survived by: her sister Marie Gilmartin; and her children, Joseph Gaughan (Deborah), Annmarie Mason, Philip Gaughan (Sheri), Mary Nunes Burdick (John), Michael Gaughan (Uma) and Margaret Gaughan (Sean). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
