She was predeceased by: her husband Edward J. Smith; her parents, John R. Pirhalla and Margaret Matusek Pirhalla; her mother-in-law Florence Gibbons Smith; and her brother John R. Pirhalla, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Edward Jr. Olyphant, Sean (Kris), Karen Smith Foley (Michael) and Coleen Warholic; and her great grandchildren, Kelcie Lucke, Declan Smith, Willow and Winter Brewer. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
She was very active in the American Heart Association.
