Irene Donnelly Obituary

The memory of Irene Donnelly of Olyphant, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 16, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Semonich and Helen Semonich; her husband James F. Donnelly; her children, Patricia Donnelly and James F. Donnelly Jr.; her sons-in-law, Thomas Brennan, Stephen Martin and Pasquale A. Gialanella; her grandson Nicholas P. Gialanella; her sister Marie Rinaldi; her brother-in-law Peter Rinaldi; and her brother Joseph Semonich.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Martin of Blakely, Jacqueline Brennan of Staten Island, NY, Irene L. Donnelly of Olyphant, Mary Ellen Alexandria (Reinaldo Alexandria) of Dickson City, Francis Patrick Donnelly (Gladys Donnelly) of Brooklyn, NY and Joseph Michael Donnelly (Pamela Donnelly) of Shirley, NY.; her daughter-in-law Cindy Donnelly of Carbondale; her sister Geraldine Washkuch of Olyphant; and her sister-in-law Darla Semonich of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hudak-O'shea Funeral Home (115 N Garfield Ave, Olyphant, PA 18447). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Hudak-O'shea Funeral Home, Inc. (115 N Garfield Ave, Olyphant, PA 18447). A Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (200 Delaware Ave, Olyphant, PA 18447). A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Cathedral Cemetery (1708 Oram St, Scranton, PA 18504).
