He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carlton Boyer and Mabel Boyer (Fritz); his siblings, Carl Boyer, David Boyer and Barbara Ann Waldroup; his wife Anna Lee Boyer; his nieces, Anne Hill (Charles Hill) of Chambersburg Pennsylvania, Jennifer O'Brien (Dan O'Brien) and Rebecca Miller of North Carolina; and his nephew David Alan Boyer (Teddy Boyer) of France.
