He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Blanche Shane (Wagner); his parents, William D. Shane and Margaret Shane (Bower); and his siblings, William I. Shane, Sarah Stauffer and Martha Hoch.
He is survived by: his children, Gary L. (Etta Shane) of Exeter Township, Lorie R. (Michael Schneider) of Havertown and Steven A. (Robin); his grandchildren, Justin, Adam, Ady, Geoffrey, Ted, Shanna, Cory and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Greta, Myrna, Jasper, Rowan, Rishi, Wren, Hanlee and Brynn.
