She was predeceased by: her husband Paul L. Scheirer; her parents, Victor Schafer and Mabel Schafer (Scherer); her daughter Paulette; her son-in-law William "Bill" Shankweiler; and her siblings, Marguerite Heil, Mildred Moyer, Minnie Miller and William Schafer.

She is survived by: her grandson Paul Shankweiler (Christa); her great grandchildren, Melissa, Stefani, Devin, Kimberlee and Natalee; her great great grandchildren, Lila and Hudson; and her godson Randy Schmeltzle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
