He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta "Bobbie" Mando Cortese; his parent Calogero Cortese; and his siblings, Paul Cortese, Benjamin Cortese, Pino Cortese, Anthony Cortese, Lebro Cortese, Joseph Cortese, Rosa Cortese, Rose Monteforte and Gatilla "Ethel" Cancelleri.
He is survived by: his parent Maria Tornambe Cortese; his children, Joseph Cortese (Sharmayne) of Moscow and Maryann Cortese-Rubino (John) of Moosic; his grandchildren, Heather Cortese (Grant Debnam), Ryan Cortese, Natalie Rubino and Eric Rubino; his great grandchildren, Reid Debnam and Riley Debnam; and also, Sicily and Lee.
