Walter Mauthe Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Mauthe of Oil City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 13, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter W. Mauthe and Nettie Stewart Mauthe; his sister Pat; his parents-in-law, Thomas and Bernice Stitzinger; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Monrean, Dennis Haas, Donald Stitzinger-Clark and Robert Saylor.
He is survived by: his wife Polly Stitzinger; his children, Traci Isbell (Bradford) and Mitchell Mauthe (Karen Pressley); his grandchildren, Robert Shonfelt, Ian Shonfelt (Keeana), William Shonfelt, Juli Maxwell (Anthony) and David Shonfelt (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Aria Aguilarsoto, John Shonfelt, Andrew, Violet and Madison Maxwell; his sisters, Eilene Say, Margret "Peggy" Saylor and Kay McCullough (Burl); and his siblings-in-law, Jeanne Haas, June Stitzinger-Clark and David Monrean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oil City Alliance Church, the VETS Honor Guard, or a charity of choice.
