She was predeceased by: her parents, Orrin Shotts and Cora Shotts; her husband William C. "Bill" Mathers; her brothers, Orrin Eugene Shotts and Roy Shotts; and also Richard Ray "Dick" Craig Sr..

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Lewis (Larry) of Knox, Karen Stanton-Cole (Johnnie) of Florida, Janice Lillard of Oil City, Mary Walentosky (Michael) of Oil City and Richard Craig Jr. (Anne) of Wyoming; her stepson Bill Mathers of North Carolina; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Brandon of Cranberry. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
