He is survived by: his children, MaryEllen Hynes of Oil City, Karen Steffes of Ben Avon and John Hynes (Lori) of Rochester, PA.; his grandchildren, Sarah and Hillary Steffes; his great grandchild Ari Taherkhan; and his siblings, Francis "Herk" Hynes (Elaine) of Edinboro and Roseanne Lindal-Hynes.
