He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd LeRoy Snyder, Sr. and Myrtle Snyder (Heckathorne); and his brother James Arthur Snyder, Sr.. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Snyder (Pat), David Snyder (Jessica) and Daniel Snyder (Ruth); his grandchildren, Scott, Baine and Mark Snyder; his sister Shirley E. Snyder of Titusville; his sister-in-law Kathy Snyder-Hutchinson (Straub); his nieces and nephews, Melissa Ann Bensink (Snyder), Tracy Lynn Snyder, James Arthur Snyder, Jr. and Stephen Hutchinson; his great-niece Emily Marie Bensink; and his great-nephew Zack Bensink.
