It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ernest Swartzfager of Oil City, Pennsylvania, born in Utica, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 4, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Swartzfager and Nettie Swartzfager (Metz); and his siblings, Harry Swartzfager Jr., June Henshaw, Ada Swartzfager and Phyllis Dunkerly Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Rankin of Franklin, Rick Swartzfager (Belinda), Wendy Tate (Gunner) of Franklin and David Swartzfager of Kent City, Michigan; his stepchildren, Bill Phillippi of Knox and Cindy Waters (David) of Cranberry; his grandchildren, Theresa Fernandez of Redondo Beach, Calif, Shaniqua Law of Silver Springs, Heather DeMauro of Phoenix, Tom Phillippi of Knox, Preston Morgan of Franklin, Vivian Morgan of Franklin, Jessi Phillippi of Knox, David Swartzfager of Kent City, Michigan and Samuel Swartzfager of Kent City, Michigan; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Braxton and Mayleigh Phillippi of Knox; and his sister Joretta Widmyer of Tionesta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
