He was predeceased by: his wife Anne; and his siblings, Mildred, Nedah, Irvin (Bud) and Elmer.

He is survived by: his sons, Russell, Jr. (Kay) and Rick (Kathy); his granddaughter Monica; and also, Charles and Sean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 126 Black Rock Road, P.O. Box 404, Oaks, PA 19456.
