He was predeceased by: his wife Joan R. Coates. He is survived by: his children, Cyndi Caristo, Bob Coates (Mary Beth) and Nancy Greenwood (Jim); his grandchildren, Janiece Moody (Mike), Drew Caristo (Jessica), Alex Caristo (Lauren), Charlotte Greenwood and Elsie Greenwood; and his siblings, Bill Coates, Kay Joyce, Judy McGuire, Alice Whiteman, Sue Miller and John Coates (Doris).
