We are sad to announce that on April 21, 2023, James W. Stapel of Oakmont, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walton Stapel and Elizabeth Stapel (Betty). He is survived by: his wife Marlene (Messmer); his children, Jon (Casey) and Jennifer (Sal); his sister Susan (Bob); his grandsons, Nathan and Corey; his stepgrandchildren, Sal, Jr., David, Nicole, Madison and Brady; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Harper. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

To honor Jim and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grane Hospice Care, 260 Alpha Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
