He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Chang; his brother Charles; his sons, Anthony (Mary) and Phillip (Frances); his grandchildren, Christopher (Linda), Martin (Lindsay), Nathan and Madeline (Jonathan); and his great grandchild George.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Oakmont's Chapel (500 Rte 909, Verona, PA 15147).
For the period of 1965 until his retirement in 2005, he taught at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, making significant contributions to the study of Chinese and African politics, authoring books and publications that reflected his deep expertise.
