She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Johnson and Mary Johnson of McKeesport; her daughter Wendy Lee; and her siblings, Richard Johnson of Greensburg and Mary Conaway of San Miguel.
She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Patross; her children, Amy Wilks (Brad), Mindy LaBelle and Brandon Davis (Monica); her stepchildren, Lindsay Patross, Whitney Patross and Courtney Braden (Christopher); her grandchildren, Kelan Wilks, Tarin Wilks, Julian Wilks, Ezra Davis, Elliot Davis, Ruby LaBelle, Bridget Braden, Eloise Braden and Peter Braden; her siblings, Albert Johnson (Bonnie), Joann Guzman (Frank), Norma Johnson (Dave Harrison), Kenneth Johnson (Marion) and Dennis Johnson; and her sister-in-law Maryann Moore. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, caregivers, and friends.
Through her countless excavations of Native American villages, hamlets, and mounds, frontier forts, log homes, Civil War Era residences and stores, industrial steel mills, and so many more she was able to further our understanding of the past and make important contributions to the knowledge of precontact and historic archaeology and history.
