He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Foster and Amanda Foster (Hartranft); his wife Eileen; and his daughter Deborah Cummings. He is survived by: his daughter Travey Schroeder of Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Joseph Cummings Jr., Christopher Schroeder Jr. and Samantha Gyory; and his great grandchildren, Joseph Ronald Cummings (JR), Bowen George Cummings and Orion Schroeder.
