He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. Higgins and Margaret "Margie" Higgins (Mappes); and his brother Donald J. Higgins. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Rose (Jason), William "Bill" J. Higgins (Laura), Daniel Tolotti and Amanda Quinn (Pat); his great-nephew Joshua Kachurick; his aunt Ruth; his uncle Bill Helgemo; his sister-in-law Lorraine Higgins; and his cousins, Amy Janosky and Grace Helgemo.
