She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar Reece and Maude Reece; her husband Arvelle May; her son Michael May; her granddaughter Dana May; her great grandchild Mikie May; and her siblings, Paulene Johnson, Emogene Miller and Freddie Reece.

She is survived by : her sons, David May (Shirley), Joseph May (Lisa) and Stephen May (Claire); her grandchildren, David May, Jr., Shannon Alexander, Stephen May, Cassidi Neff, McKenzie Speed, Kyle May, Brittney Carrigan, Danny Beggs and Jamie Sampson; and her siblings, Robert, Lynn Reece, Faye Warren, Virginia Oliver and Becky Wilson. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
