He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Matrone and Maria Matrone (Crispo); his wife Bertha Matrone (McGarvey); and his siblings, Rocco Matrone, Carmen Matrone, Jeanette DeVitis, Alfonso Matrone, Frank Matrone, Francis Matrone, Helen McElwee (Eleanor) and Emily Buban.
He is survived by: his children, David S. Matrone, Bonnie A. Dollarton (late Michael) and Sandra J. Lee (Christopher); his grandchildren, Jade Matrone, Michael Lang, Brian Lang (Krista), Brandon Lee, Dylan Lee and Blake Matrone; and his great grandchildren, Wylder, Emeric and Ciaran Bazydlo.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home (301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Penn Medicine Hospice at Home would be appreciated.
