He was predeceased by: his father Carl Powley; his wife Rita Powley (Wunder); his siblings, Richard and Lois Sakers; and his son-in-law Wilmer "Buz" Ruby.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Ruby, Robert A. Powley, Kathleen Barrett (Michael) and Richard Powley (Marti); and his sisters, Beverly Russell, Barbara Welsh and Deborah Thomas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
