McGovern Sr. (Norwood, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 17, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John McGovern and Margaret McGovern (Fischer); his wife Ellen (Lawell); and his son Joseph E. McGovern, Jr.. He is survived by: his sister Caroline Markun; and his children, Patricia Afflerbach (Dennis), John McGovern, Eileen McGovern, Marie Ladely (Edward) and Christine Cassidy (Dave). He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren.
