He was predeceased by: his parents, James McCarthy and Helen McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Ashleigh McCarthy (Porter); and his children, Lachlan James, Rowan Gail and Waylon Edward. He is also survived by family, his in-laws, and the friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the McCarthy kids fund.
