He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hays and Lillian Hays; his siblings, James E. Hays and Kimberly Hays Nichelson; and his grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Pospisil.
He is survived by: his wife Justine (Carameli); his sons, Josh and Joey Hoffman; and his siblings, John "Hannibal" (Robin), David (Renee), Douglas (Marie), Mark (Heather), Joanne Beaty (Ralph), Donna Nichelson, Diane Walat (Ralph) and Debra Smith (Carl).
