He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvah W. Deans and Gladys Deans (Bloom); his wife Dorothy L. Roache; and his sister Louise Teates. He is survived by: his former wife Emily I. Mertz; his children, Kay L. Deans and Todd E. Deans of Northumberland; his stepchildren, Donald Roache (Gail) of Gaithersburg, MD and Carol Ayers (Robert) of Sugar Land, TX; his grandchildren, Kalyn Deans of Ithaca, NY and Brandon Deans of Northumberland; and his stepgrandchildren, Stephanie Turner, Lisa Dolci, Megan Ayers and Christopher Ayers.
