He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Barnosky and Mary Barnosky (Vitzen); and his siblings, Bertha Hemdal, Joseph Jr. and Stephen Barnosky.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Barnosky (Wagner); his sons, Leonard Barnosky Jr. (Amy) of Albion, NY and Timothy Barnosky of Rochester, NY; and his grandchildren, Emily, Laura, Melissa, William, Benjamin and Stella.
