He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. Miller and Lois Miller (Payne); and his nephew Bradley Miller. He is survived by: his wife Helen D. Miller (Ross); his children, Danielle Miller-Greggi (Mark) and Kenneth R. Miller (Ashley Smith); his grandchildren, Breanna, Zoe Miller, Zach, Aiden, Abby Smith and Aiko; his siblings, James Miller (Barbara) and Carrie Kolenko (John); his niece Ashley (Chris); and his uncles, Franklin and Larry Payne.
