He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Astl and Josephine Astl (Klepeis); and his siblings, Stephen, Frank, John, Anna, Kathryn and Helen.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney (Roseann) and Denise Holota; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Meghan), Daniel and Jenna (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Brodie, Leo and Macie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
