He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse W. "Jerry" and Mary Caum (Ball). He is survived by: his wife Carol Caum (Derstein); his daughter Jessica D. Caum; and his sisters, Betsey Bracy and Nancy Bickell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
