She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia McKendrick and Patrick McKendrick; her husband Bill Higgins; and her siblings, Michael Gavaghan, Maryanne Gavaghan and Eileen Carry.

She is survived by: her son Bill Higgins; her daughter-in-law Clare Higgins; her grandchildren, Brian (Kirsten), Bailey, Connor, Kieran, Mairin, Ronan, Sasha and Kai; and her siblings, James Gavaghan, Kathy Gispert, Thomas Gavaghan, Joseph Gavaghan, Patricia Gozdan and Jude Fanning.
