He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Dias Nunes and Maria Manuela Dias Nunes; his brother Victor Nunes Lucas; and his brother-in-law João Costa. He is survived by: his wife Maria Lurdes Lucas (Amaral); his son Nuno Lucas (Lori) of North Wales, PA; his granddaughters, Isabel Lucas of North Wales, PA and Liliana Lucas of North Wales, PA; his siblings, Judite Dias Lucas of Coimbra, Portugal, Rui Dias Lucas (Margarida) of Chalfont, PA and Fernando Dias Lucas (Deolinda); and his sister-in-law Dorinda Lucas of Vila Franca, Portugal..
