She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse John J. Sweeney, Sr.; and her children, Janet T. McBride (Richard), John J. Sweeney, Jr. (Sandra), Joanne Durkin and Jill H. Campbell (Joe). She was also cherished by 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Genevieve's memory may be made to St. Ignatius Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, 4401 Haverford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
