She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry H. Houck and Emily Houck (Karpowsky); her spouse Russell Ackell; and her siblings, Paul Winters Houck and Margaret Houck Goodman.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Peter Ackell (Laurie) of Appleton, WI, Henry Ackell (Liz Franklin) of North Wales, PA and Emily Jamison (Jaime) of State College, PA; her grandchildren, Andrew Ackell of Chicago, IL, William Ackell of Milwaukee, WI, Patricia Ackell of Reading, PA, Katie McNair (James) of Nashville, TN, Maggie Miller (Chris) of Chicago, IL and Eleanor Jamison of State College, PA; her nephew David Goodman (Cynthia Back); and her nieces, Sarah Perry (Harvey) and Ann Doubleday (Tom).
