He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Chabanik (Boyd); his daughter Helen Chabanik; his grandson Michael; his parents, Stephen Chabanik and Veronica Chabanik (Veeter); and his siblings, Patricia Deal (late John) and Stephen Chabanik (Margot).
He is survived by: his daughters, Monica Kitta (late Robert), Linda Carlson, Margaret Ursta (late Nicholas) and Roseanne Debruyn (late Michael); his stepsons, Derek and William Painter; his grandchildren, Ashley, Jeffrey (Amy), Cody and Adam; his great grandchildren, Blake, Chloe, Sophia and Jemma; and his siblings, Helen Mathew (Matt), Bernadine McGowan (late Joseph), Louise Krall (Lou) and Richard Chabanik (Jeanette).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alfieri Funeral Home Inc. (201 Marguerite Ave, Wilmerding, PA 15148). A prayer was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church (200 Leger Rd, Irwin, PA 15642).
