She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Shurgot; her parents, Thomas Kurzynski and Julia Kurzynski (Bogucka); and her siblings, Joe Kurzynski and Stefka Rytel.

She is survived by: her son Stephen Shurgot (Paula); her grandchildren, Stephanie Goldstein (Geremy) and Jason Shurgot; her great grandchildren, Sebastian, Colin and Peyton Goldstein; and also Seese.
