She was predeceased by: her parents, George Elkanic and Mary Hyduk Elkanic (Albert Mendicino); her husband Albert Mendicino; her siblings, Andrew Elkanic (Helen) and Ann Mihoces (Edward); and her pet Gordon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Monica Semanisin (Richard) of North Versailles and Nadine Erdody (Dave) of Vero Beach, FL; her sister Helen Dragos of Greenock; and her great grandchild Joseph Brown. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven at 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
