We bid farewell to Ella Smilek of North Sewickley, Pennsylvania, born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 6, 2024 at the age of 97. Ella touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Gleeson and Annie Higgens Gleeson; her sister Evelyn Jaskolka; and her son-in-law Robert Franze. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Smilek (Maureen) of Ellwood City, Neil Smilek (Tatha) of Rochester and Loreekay Franze of Ellwood City; and her grandchildren, Kayla Spinola, Sharon Knott, Sheri Main, Leah Franze, Christian Wetzel, Tom and Mike Smilek. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home (200 Fountain Ave, Ellwood City, PA 16117). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at 106 Chapel Dr, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
