He was predeceased by: his parents, Fairbanks Stanley and Frona Mcown Stanley; his wife JoAnn Hall Stanley; and his sons, Charles K. Stanley and Dr. Gregory K. Stanley.

He is survived by: his grandson Chad Stanley (Nicole); and his great grandchildren, Luke Stanley and Lila.
