He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph, Sr. Mrkonja and Elizabeth Breit Mrkonja (Betty); his parents-in-law, James "Jimbo" Cervi and Cecelia Cervi; his sister-in-law Jean Kotchka; and his aunt Tillie Benkowski.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Cervi Mrkonja; his sisters, Linda Mrkonja Warsing and Denise Mrkonja; his siblings-in-law, Mary Cervi Gaydos (John), James "Skip" and Darrell Kotchka; his cousins, Georgianna Gallaher, Rich, Barb Benkowski, Mark, Monika Benkowski, Krystin and Justin Powers; his friend Zachary Schukart; and his nieces, Kristen Theiss, Karen Kotchka and Kimberly Grabel (Robert). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Beaver County Humane Society in Joe's name.
