He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael B. Ritter and Marie Ritter (Bunce); his wife Mary Ann Ritter of Erie, PA.; and his siblings, Billy Martin, Clem Martin, Dorothy Crock, Miriam Swenky, Geraldine Baker, Joanne Ritter, Gerald Ritter and Robert "Skip" Ritter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Ritter and Dr. Julie Ritter-Welzant (Victor); his granddaughters, Maria and Caroline Welzant of Baltimore; his siblings, Sally McCallion (Robert), Michael Ritter (Joann) and Richard "Butch" Martin; and his sister-in-law Mary Ritter.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory - West 38th (1595 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (130 E 4th St, Erie, PA 16507).
