It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nyla J. Phelps (North East, Pennsylvania), who passed away on August 4, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Speelberg and Florence Speelberg; her husband Lester Phelps; her siblings, Donald Stetson and Kay Lewis; her niece Pammy Cooper; her daughter-in-law Sue Phelps; and her grandson Brian Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Phelps (Darla), Sherry Reed, Shirley Larsen (Alan), Cindy Kopta (Nick), Cathy Redlecki (Darl), Timothy Phelps (Beth), Tommy Phelps (Colleen) and Tammy Snyder; her sister Jean Ferguson; her brother-in-law Wayne Lewis; and her niece Brenda Ohlsson (Arden). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a library of your choice, Shriners hospital or by planting some flowers.
