He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Johnson); his children, James D. Ramsdell (Ellen), Dale Gregory (Rich) and Susan Green (Sid); his grandchildren, Matthew Ramsdell (Julia), Christopher Ramsdell (Erika), Steven Tirpak, Morgan Knabe (Mike) and Nicole Tirpak; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Abby, James, Eliza, Gabriel, Peyton, Lincoln and Sam.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Volunteer Fire Company or the American Legion.
