He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael J. Valko and Anna Valko (Basista); his sister Mary (Joseph Kolodjieski); and his parents-in-law, John and Florence Ross.
He is survived by: his wife June Idella Ross; his daughters, Amanda Valko (Brian Fritz) of New Castle, PA and Claudia (Kevin Haaning) of Westfield, IN.; his grandchildren, Nicole Haaning (Zeb Curtin) of Golden Valley, MN, Christian Haaning (Jami) of Portland, OR, Allison Haaning (Julie Weinans) of Rogers, MN, Kelsey Rapier (Brandon) of Westfield, IN and Neil Haaning of Westfield, IN; and his great grandchildren, Magnus, Mabel Curtin, Arlo Haaning, Amelia and Lucas Rapier. He is also survived by five nieces and six nephews.
