He was predeceased by: his parent Ruth Shaeffer (Kesler); his father-in-law Robert E. Kennedy; and his grandparents, William Kesler, Susan Grace Kesler, Arthur Shaeffer and Goldie B. Shaeffer.
He is survived by: his parent Kenneth D. Shaeffer of North Apollo; his wife Vivian C. Shaeffer (LeBeau); his children, Kristie Shaeffer (Dawayne Redmond) of Leechburg and Richard Shaeffer (Danielle Koncar) of North Apollo; his grandchildren, Ashton Redmond of Neveah Koncar and Brooklyn Redmond of Neveah Koncar; his sisters, Ruth Maxine Shaeffer of North Apollo, Tenia Torrey (John) of Sanford, NC, Christine Healy (John) of Tarentum and Fay Giola (John) of Fayetteville, NC; his parents-in-law, Carole Kennedy of North Apollo and Wesley LeBeau of Rapid City, SD; and his sisters-in-law, LaDonna Stephens (Charles), Doriann LeBeau and LeNae LeBeau. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
