With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sophia (Demetris) Ammon (Norristown, Pennsylvania), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sophia left this world on January 12, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard L. Ammon; her parents, Paul Demetris and Fevronia Demetris (Joanides); and her brothers, Jacob, John, Phillip and William Demetris.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer C. Herrlinger (Jay A.) of Perkasie, PA and Michele Ammon (Charley Tucker) of New York, NY; her grandson Wyatt Tucker; her stepgranddaughter Carly Herrlinger; her stepgreat-granddaughter Hazel Curry; and her sister Catherine Nicholas (William) of Norristown, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church (900 S Trooper Rd, Norristown, PA 19403). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
